We accept files over our secure transfer service or in the mail: Data CD (Audio CD accepted but not preferred), data DVD, any kind of memory key/stick/card, and any kind of hard drive.
If you've been working in Pro Tools, just send us your session folder and we'll take it from there.
From all other sources, what we need is a set of wave files:
• All with the same starting point
• One for each track
• Each one a single consolidated file (no edits or gaps)
• Bit depth and sample rate matching the original recording session. We recommend 24 bit files.
(basically the same as what you would get if you transferred a multitrack tape straight into a computer).
A sure-fire way of achieving this is to solo each track in turn and perform a bounce/mixdown. For 16 tracks that would mean performing 16 bounces – a bit time consuming but as a last resort it definitely works!
Some applications offer a faster way of achieving this, and these are described below. If you are aware of any others, please let us know and we'll add them here.
Normally, we recommend bypassing all plugins prior to exporting the wave files. This will enable you to get the benefits of our top quality plugins that will most likely give you a better result. By all means send us a rough mix as a guide. If there's something you'd prefer to leave in, feel free – you're the customer! We'd be happy to answer any questions you might have on this subject.
